Album Information
First Appearance: "I'm with Cupid"

Concert Against Bangladesh is an LP album owned by Apu.

History[edit]

When Apu asked Homer who his favorite Indian pop singer was, Homer could not choose, so Apu started to play Concert Against Bangladesh. When Apu started to play the album he had it playing too fast, and quickly changed it.

Behind the Laughter[edit]

  • Concert Against Bangladesh is a parody of The Concert for Bangladesh, two concerts organised by George Harrison and Ravi Shankar held on August 1, 1971 raising money for Bangladesh, whom had just become independent from Pakistan.
  • Despite Apu being Indian, and playing it to demonstrate Indian pop singers, India supported Bangladesh's independence, meaning in real life it would have been unlikely for such a concert to occur in India.
