Barney's All Night Bowl-a-Thon was a fundraising event held at Barney's Bowlarama to save Moe's Tavern from demolition.
History[edit]
The first annual Barney's All Night Bowl-a-Thon was scheduled for July 28–29 to raise money to prevent Moe's Tavern from being demolished for the proposed Interstate 666. Participants were encouraged to collect pledges based on the number of pins they knocked down while bowling from dusk until dawn. Pledge sheets were available at the Kwik-E-Mart, Moe's Tavern, and Barney's Bowlarama.
The event also included a raffle in which participants could purchase $5 tickets for a chance to guess how many gutter balls Homer Simpson would bowl. Apu supported the fundraiser by donating 76 pounds of beef jerky.
