Lyrics[edit]

The Vamp:
I haven't seen Shady in weeks.
Any minute now,
He'll scamper through that doggie door.
Shady:
Any minute now,
I'll be the dog she's lookin' for.
Barney, Moe Dog, Lenny, and Carl:
Any minute now,
You'll be stuck with her brood.
Patty and Selma:
Any minute now,
This pooch will know she's screwed.
The Vamp:
My hearts tells me to trust him.
Patty and Selma:
But your head knows he's a hound.
Shady:
I want to do the right thing.
Moe:
Come on! With all this high class tail around?
[Hooker Dog smokes a cigarette, coughs badly]
Fleas:
Any minute now,
Our girl will make a brand new start.
Patty and Selma:
Yes!
The Vamp:
Any minute now,
I won't care that broke my heart.
Shady and the Vamp:
Any minute now.

Behind the Laughter[edit]

"Any Minute Now" used to have a rap in the middle of it. It was removed as most of the writers didn't believe it lived up to the quality of the rest of the song.[1] Al Jean believes that "Any Minute Now" would have been cut if they had a screening with the writers.[2]
