Synopsis[edit]
- Hank Scorpio shows a potential new hire around the Globex Corporation and gives them a chance to meet their potential colleagues.
Plot[edit]
Hank Scorpio greets the reader as a new potential hire. He tells them to try the soy pops, thinking they will be huge in the health snack market. However, he quickly finds that they don't taste good. He then asks "...so you want to work for Globex, huh?" Hank takes the potential hire to meet their future colleagues, General Claw, Scarface, Kahblu Khan, and The Monocle. Scarface immediately tries to kill the new hire, but the other employees stop him and drag him away. Hank then explains that Scarface has a trained giant weasel that he's always trying to show off.
As the new hire tries to leave, Hank stops them and takes them to the multimedia room. Here, Hank shows a presentation showing that Globex is moving away from crime and getting into normal markets. During the presentation, James Bont breaks through the screen and immediately starts fighting against Globex employees. Hank questions General Claw, who was supposed to have tied up Bont above an alligator pit with a small candle to slowly burn through the rope. However, Bont still managed to escape, which fills Claw with shame. Hank then admits to the new hire that he still dabbles in holding the world hostage.
Undeterred by Bont's escape, Hank continues trying to get the new hire to sign up with the company. He and General Claw tell them about the benefits employees receive, such as the cafeteria and company sauna. When the new hire asks for profit-sharing and a company car, Hank is disappointed by the greed. He then tells Scarface to come to him because he has a contract that needs to negotiate, and says to bring his weasel too.
