Cultural references
In the Disney Channel show, The Replacements, in the episode, "Zoo or False?", Todd, played by Nancy Cartwright who also plays Bart, was being cruel to the Monkeys just like Homer was only with Bananas. When the monkeys got out, along with all the other animals, they went to get revenge, and Todd said "OK, listen. I said some things, you said some things. I flung some insults, you flung some poo, but we're OK, right?".
