Some Wikisimpsons members have formed a project to better organize efforts to write and improve articles about characters. If you would like to help, please inquire on the talk page, or sign up below. Project Characters Aims Project Characters aims to write articles on all one time and recurring characters of the Simpsons cartoon. How you can help You can help by opening the Character Guide and selecting any character that is a stub (or not a stub) and expand it using your general knowledge or from other facts and figures. Some of the existing character articles need to be modified to comply with the project standard (see below). You can check Category:Character stub to see which articles need expanding. Some articles need pictures. Help them by adding a picture of the character by uploading a new one. If you see an article without the infobox template, add one immediately. Participants To join the project, simply add your name to the bottom of the list. If you are unsure on how to do this, ask an admin for assistance. Status parameter With the new design for infoboxes, a new parameter has been added, the "status" parameter. Most character pages have "unknown" as status. You can help by adding |status=Alive if the character is alive or |status=Deceased if the character is dead, to all infoboxes in character articles. The Article Itself The article should be written in Simpsons universe view, without mentioning episode names in the text. Episodes should be referenced with the <ref>[[Episode Name]]</ref> and have: == References == <references/> At the bottom of the article. Episode names are only allowed in the infobox, trivia, appearances, and references. If you come across an article about a character that is not written In Simpsons Universe view, then you cn help by fixing it, or by adding {{In-universe}} to the top of the article to make This page needs to be put into In-Universe style. All episode names must be made into references using <ref>"[[Episode Name]]"</ref> with {{Reflist}} at the bottom under a heading references. Appearances For a very minor character, a list would be fine, for a recurring character, the following is used. A list of every Ulmann Short, Episode, Game, comic, and Movie this character appeared in. e.g. * Simpsons short – "Good Night" Episode – "Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire" THOH – "Treehouse of Horror" – The Simpsons Movie Comic story – The Amazing Colossal Homer Video game – The Simpsons: Hit and Run Book – The Simpsons Uncensored Family Album Template:Advert Navigational Templates Below is a list of the templates which can be added at the end of the page.
