Images are a big part of Wikisimpsons. Many pages need images to help illustrate the topic of the page. There are also several things that you need to think about with images on Wikisimpsons.
Licenses[edit]
Images need licenses to be on Wikisimpsons. These licenses are to avoid any copyright issues with uploading images that do not belong to Wikisimpsons.
The most common licenses that users will need to use are: {{Image Fox}}, {{Image Bongo}}, {{Image Game}}, {{From Wikimedia}} and {{Image fairuse}}. Image Fox is for images that are from episodes and other images owned by Fox. Image Bongo is for images from the comics and other images by Bongo Comics. Image Game is for images from video games. From Wikimedia is for all images from Wikipedia and other Wikimedia sites. Image fairuse can pretty much fit for everything else. For details on how to use the licenses, see each template page.

Inappropriate Images[edit]
Images that contain nudity, violence not from The Simpsons or bad language are not welcome here. This is a wiki where anyone can edit and kids may come here. These will be deleted when found.
User spaces[edit]
Users are only allowed a maximum of three personal images used in their user space alone. These can be non-The Simpsons related images as well.
Exceptions[edit]
- If an image you uploaded for sole use on your user page or subpage becomes featured, it will not count as one of your three image limit.
- If the image is used in a subpage that is intended to become a main space article, that does not count.
Unused files[edit]
An unused file is an image or another file type that is currently unused on Wikisimpsons. This may be because it has recently been uploaded and not placed anywhere. However, if the file has not been placed anywhere for some time and can not be placed anywhere on the wiki, such as if the topic the image illustrates already has an image, it will be deleted.
Wikisimpsons is not an image uploading service. We do not allow users to upload images that won't be used on the wiki. We upload images to be used in articles and other pages, not to just sit in Special:UnusedFiles doing nothing. If a user keeps uploading images that won't be used, the user will be warned. Failure to listen to this warning may result in a short block.
