To clarify, all articles on Wikisimpsons should attain to such a state; this task helps promote that. A '''comprehensive article''' is one that is complete with all its relevant information, but due to its slight size, cannot therefore obtain Featured status. Through this process, we mainly hope to '''''let readers know when an article they are reading is complete,''''' and not a "stub" (an article which has been denoted as lacking in information), though its size might suggest otherwise. Episodes and regular and supporting characters cannot qualify as comprehensive articles, as they can obtain featured status. This page is to nominate minor articles as being complete, or comprehensive articles.

What is a comprehensive article?

A comprehensive article is one that is complete with all its relevant information, but due to its slight size, cannot obtain Featured article status (our best work). The purpose of this project is to establish uniformity among Wikisimpsons, by seeing that all articles are, essentially, complete, with all their relevant material. Through this process, we mainly hope to let readers know when an article they are reading is complete, and not a "stub" (an article which has been denoted as lacking in information), though its size might suggest so. Episodes and regular and supporting characters cannot qualify as comprehensive articles, as they can obtain featured status. (For nominating these articles, see Wikisimpsons:Featured article.)

Nominating process

Nominators

Before nominating an article, check to make sure that it meets all applicable criteria. If you believe it does, proceed to do the following.:

1. Create a section under "Nominees" (below, with === ===) using your subject's name, like so:

[Article name here]

2. Put "Nominated by:" and "Nominator's comments:" in bold (use ''' ''' for bold).

Nominated by: [Signature here.]
Nominator's comments: [Comments here.]

3. It is up to the nominator to then address any issues an opposing voter has with your submission. All issues must be fixed/settled before an article can be considered comprehensive. Once an issue has been addressed, one can strikethrough (<strike> </strike>) the comment.

Voters

Any registered Wikisimpsons user can vote. Voters must strictly check that a nominated article meets all its criteria, that it is in fact comprehensive. If you believe it is, put "Support" in bold, followed by # with your justification. If you feel an article does not meet the criteria, create an "Oppose" section, explaining why and giving your suggestions on how to improve the article.

Once an article has gained the support of five voters, and has addressed all opposing views, it can obtain comprehensive article status. All articles are given a week [seven (7) days starting with their nomination date] for reviewing. After that week, if the article has not gained 5 votes, and suggested improvements have not been made, the article will be dropped, until such a time when it can be submitted again.
