The page to request bureaucrat rights.

Requirements

Users can nominate themselves.
Nominees must be an active contributor to WikiSimpsons, being active at least in the last few days.
As well, nominees ought to have more than 2000 contributions and should already have some sort of status within the wiki. If no one with status has been active in the last few months, then this rule should not be followed.
Nominees should demonstrate good understanding of WikiSimpsons policies, style, and conventions.
Before a user is nominated, he or she must be asked if they will accept the nomination. If not, that user will not be nominated.
Only confirmed users are able to vote.
Nominees must congratulate new users on doing a lot of work and warn users if they do something wrong on a regular basis.

Solar Dragon

I know it may look like I have only changed the rules so that I can nominate myself, but that is not the case. i have been meaning to change it so that users can nominate themselves for a while now. We went by those rules on Futurama wiki and the Fable Wiki.

I feel that I have done a lot for this wiki. I am also more active than other admins by far. For a couple of weeks now, I have been thinking of making a few changes around here. I want to change some of the user groups and I feel that we need a new admin, or possibly two and a new bureaucrat too. Therefore, I nominate myself. I know it is uncommon for this thing to happen, but I feel it is a necessary change around here.

Therefore, I want to change a few user rights. These are:

Promote another user to admin status, possibly Smiley12.
Promote users to rollback, see Wikisimpsons:Rollback Requests.

I am more active than the other admins and am usually contacted before other admins now so I feel like I should have the added powers. I have had these before and know how to use them and will not abuse them for sure.

I fully understand if my request gets turned down, if you think we are fine with one bureaucrat etc. I just feel that, as this wiki expands, so should the staffing of the wiki.

I agree, as at the moment i'm busy with coursework, web developing and gaming so haven't had much wiki time, and there will be times when i'm on holiday and we will have no bureaucrat, and Solar is a very strong user. --Sgtcook (My Talk Page) 21:31, March 21, 2010 (UTC)

Agreed - I've seen Solar Dragon's edits (mainly formatting and in-universe style changes) on pages I've worked on. He comes off as very consicentious, I appreciate his prettying up my inital awkward attempts at contributing, and therefore I say he merits the additional privileges.
