Stop the Planet of the Apes I Want to Get Off is a musical version of the movie Planet of the Apes starring Troy McClure in the Charlton Heston role.
Behind the Laughter
The title of the musical is a parody of the musical Stop the World - I Want to Get Off! The song "Dr. Zaius" is a parody of the song "Rock Me Amadeus" by Falco. The music was written by Alf Clausen and the lyrics by Jack Barth. It is the twenty-seventh track on the album Songs in the Key of Springfield.
