The Case of the Hanging Shoes/Quotes

Wikisimpsons - The Simpsons Wiki

Lisa: Principal Skinner, what did Nelson do?
Principal Skinner: It appears young Muntz felt the urge to inflict a degree of humiliation upon a fellow student, by throwing Martin Prince's shoes over the power lines.
Nelson Muntz: Lisa, I know I have a certain reputation to uphold, but honest, this time I don't do it.
Lisa: For some strange reason, I believe you.

Groundskeeper Willie: Someone's used some high-falutin' rope trickery to tie these shoes together. I haven't been witness to such fine knot work since me days in the Scottish navy.
Principal Skinner: Well, cut the knot and bring it here!
Lisa: That's it!

Lisa: A-ha! Just as I suspected. Principal Skinner, let Nelson go!
Principal Skinner: Now, Lisa, give me back that knot this instant!
Lisa: But don't you see... This is a Dutch cringle knot. It is a special knot that's used to form a handle or connection between two points or objects. Only the nimblest of hands knows how to make this knot and hardly anyone in Springfield. In fact only one junior camper has earned a special merit badge for his way around a cord of twine... Martin Prince!
