Voice

The Sirens don't speak, so it's not Julie Kavner providing the voice as she does for Patty and Selma. The voice actor would be the same as whoever sings "Island of Sirens", which I haven't yet been able to find out. -- Mythigator 18:36, 4 July 2011 (UTC)

I've tried using a range of sources but haven't found anything on the matter. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 18:46, 4 July 2011 (UTC)
Not the most reliable source but the website i'm using for German voices has Sally Stevens listed as the voice. http://www.serien-synchron.de/Serien/Simpsons_-_Staffel_13.htm. --Cook879 18:54, 4 July 2011 (UTC)
Can't 100% confirm it but it seems likely. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 18:56, 4 July 2011 (UTC)

IMDB has a listing for a Sally Stevens who's sung on several episodes, but they don't show her as having done "Tales". -- Mythigator 19:12, 4 July 2011 (UTC)

Yeah, I checked that. The book also doesn't list her as singing it. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 19:13, 4 July 2011 (UTC)

SNPP has a page with the listings for The Simpsons Testify, and for "Island of Sirens" has Lenny (Harry Shearer), Carl (Hank Azaria), Homer (Dan Castellaneta), Apu (Hank Azaria), Professor Frink (Hank Azaria). Nothing is mentioned about the sirens. Unfortunately they don't have a capsule either. Looks like a hard one to solve.--Cook879 19:39, 4 July 2011 (UTC)

  • My bet would be on Stevens then. Cjcsdonut.png -- cjc 20:30, 4 July 2011 (UTC)

Sally Stevens has a "Contact" link on her website. I suppose we could e-mail her and ask her. -- Mythigator 00:29, 5 July 2011 (UTC)

This might be a better link to go through, as its about her film work and see mentions her (and the chorale's) work on The Simpsons, which are located all over the website. It seems her and the chorus are The Simpsons go to choral group.--Cook879 11:22, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
Its played Checkin' In, Everyone loves Ned Flanders, MacBain, that Skinner one from 22 Short Stories. Cjcsdonut.png -- cjc 18:52, 5 July 2011 (UTC)

Chris Ledesma has confirmed in an IRC interview that Sally Stevens did indeed provide the singing voice for the Sirens. Woo-hoo! -- Mythigator 14:38, 19 October 2011 (EDT)

Yep. It suddenly came to me to ask him :) The Solar Dragon (Talk - Contribs.) 15:23, 19 October 2011 (EDT)
