Synopsis
- "Lisa comes to Moe's defense when he lands in jail, by starting a podcast demanding his release, but before long everyone in Springfield has a podcast of their own."
Plot
Moe has ended up in prison and Lisa starts a podcast to help set him free, because she believes he is innocent. The prosecutor believes Moe is the culprit because he looks guilty. The day after the first episode is released, 2000 people have listened to Lisa's podcast, so Bart produces his own podcast. The news reports about the podcast mania in Springfield, and nearly all Springfielders have started their own podcast. Homer is also trying to start a podcast but is frustrated with his computer, so he yells out his podcast in the park through a megaphone. Lisa's podcast is a success, but Moe is not free yet. Lisa promises to help him. Since almost all the residents of Springfield have a podcast, they have no time to listen to their podcasts because they spend too much time making their own podcasts, and everyone gets mad at each other because they do not listen to each other's podcasts. The residents of Springfield realize they need to change tactics, and start yelling out their podcasts through megaphones like Homer. When they hear each other's podcasts, they become friends again. Lisa hears Professor Frink comment that podcasting is most effect when people yell face to face. At Moe's trial, Lisa says that Snake is guilty and it was a case of mistaken identity due to reflections in a mirror. Snake is sent to jail, and he hopes she can make a new podcast so he can be free. Lisa ends her podcast and Moe thanks her for helping him out.
