Plot
Lisa wins the award for school attendance, scholarly execellence and recitation of the Bill of Rights. She asks Ms. Hoover if the prize can help her when she applies for college, and she tells her that more schools are taking community service intonation consideration, and she should think about doing something like that. Lisa asks Marge how much there is in college funding, and realizes she must start doing community service. Lisa visits the Li'l Helpers, who ask her to assist a woman who has broken her leg after tripping over her cat. They tell Lisa that she should help her with her household chores. She goes to the woman's home and realizes that she should help the Crazy Cat Lady. She rings the doorbell, but Eleanor throws cats at her so Lisa escapes. Lisa wonders how she can help her if she does not want help. Lisa begins to snuggle with the cats, and they enjoy being with her. Eleanor sees this and lets her in. Lisa begins to feed the cats and wash the dishes. As the days go by, she also vacuums her house and empties the cat boxes. One day, as Lisa goes home, Eleanor looks at Lisa and begins to write a letter before she goes to bed.
The next day, the Blue-Haired Lawyer comes to tell Lisa that Eleanor has "disappeared" and Lisa has inherited the cats. She tells her family and decides to find homes for Eleanor's cats. Homer decides to help her but the cats and Homer don't get aslong well together. Lisa begins to make ads for free cats. Agnes, Krusty, Gil and Hans are among those who show interest. In the end, she manages to get rid of all the cats. A few weeks later Lisa gets a visit from a lady who turns out to be Eleanor. She tells her that her brother and sisters took her to Felines Anonymous, where she was cured of her love of cats. She thanks Lisa for making it possible for her to get rid of her cats, and gives her a pizza coupon. Homer is mad, because he had hoped for more. Eleanor comes home and finds her shirt in the garbage, and thinks it's strange that they threw it away, because it looks good. Shortly afterwards, her cats start chasing her. The next day, when Lisa is on her way to help Eleanor, she discovers that Eleanor has gone mad again.
