The Simpsons Go for the Gold is an comic book that was on sale exclusively at the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con. Prior to the book's release, two exclusive pictures with the book in them were featured on Bongo Comics' Facebook page. The comic book has been released in Australia with The City of London This Summer as a poster, in UK with a Bart Basketball Game and in France and Germany.[1] An Australia edition was also released.

Have you ever wondered how the ancient Olympic games began, or what sports Olympians first competed in, or why athletes competed in the nude? This book is only available at the San Diego Comic-Convention International (and may not be available for another four years) with signed copies by Matt Groening available on a limited basis for $20 and unsigned copies for $10."
