Muumuu

Wikisimpsons - The Simpsons Wiki
Homer wearing the muumuu.

The Muumuu is a Hawaiian dress that Homer wore after his weight gain.

Description

Homer's muumuu was light blue with big red flowers on it. He often wore the muumuu with a white hat, and when he went out, he put on a dark blue cape.

History

When Homer learned that if he weighed 300 pounds, he would be put on disability and be allowed to work from home, he set out to deliberately gain enough weight to end up at over 300 pounds. After a days-long eating binge, he succeeded with 15 pounds to spare. To celebrate, Homer went clothes shopping at The Vast Waistband to buy a new outfit for his first day of working from home. After hearing the store's range of selections "for the ample gentleman", Homer chose to buy a muumuu because he didn't want to look like a weirdo.[1]

The muumuu appeared again in the Simpsons attic. [2]

At some point in the future, Homer once again gains a lot of weight and begins wearing the muumuu again.[3] When Lisa worried about becoming an obese redneck she wore Homer's muumuu.[4]

The Simpsons: Hit & Run

The Muumuu appears in The Simpsons: Hit & Run as an unlockable alternate costume for Homer on the first level.
