Homer sliding on the Slosh 'N' Splash.

Slosh 'N' Splash is an outdoor water toy.

Description

The Slosh 'N' Splash consists of a long narrow plastic sheet that has sprinklers spraying water onto it, making the sheet function as a flat waterslide. People using it take a running start, jump onto the sheet and slide along it.

History

Homer set up the slide in the yard at the Simpson home, on the side of the house that faced the Flanders home. Homer and Bart and Lisa played on the slide while Ned Flanders was hosting and leading a Bible study group. Homer slid on the slide both in his underwear and naked (after he lost his underwear) in full view of the group, which greatly annoyed Ned as it kept distracting people from the Bible study.

Behind the Laughter

  • The Slosh 'N' Splash is a pun on the real-life outdoor water toy Slip 'n Slide.
