Company Information

Springfield Baby-Proofing is a company located in Springfield. It provides the service of baby-proofing people's houses.

History

Springfield Baby-Proofing employs salespeople who go around visiting homes where the people have a baby in the house. The company relies on schock value, research and role-playing to make sales. When the Sales Lady called on Marge and Homer, she said "Your baby is dead!" a couple of times while making her presentation, referred to Maggie by name, and crawled on the floor like a baby to demonstrate how easily a baby could be exposed to household hazards -- "to fall victim to the thousands of deathtraps lurking in the average American home", as she phrased it earlier in her pitch. She failed to make a sale to Marge and Homer, however. Marge wasn't impressed with the presentation, and Homer bodily kicked the Sales Lady out of the house when he saw how high her estimate was.

Specific baby-proofing items sold by the company include window bars, toilet latches, dingo alarms and grapefruit squirt shields.
