Hi there just to tell you there was a user called Varan who spammed up my wiki so if user joins and is called Varan look at his edits as he does spam.Pokeman223 18:04, June 19, 2010 (UTC)
"Space" Template
Hi, Solar. I think something may be up with the "Space" template ( {_{Space|(number)}_} -- underscores inserted to keep from making an actual template here). Could you please have a look at Homer Goes to College/Credits? Thanks and happy weekend to you! -- Mythigator 02:47, June 19, 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry, I had a look at the template and didn't understand it at all. You may want to ask on Community Central forums if they can help. Also, if you don't want to use the template but just show it, use <nowiki></nowiki> as these stop any wiki code from working. The Solar Dragon 06:44, June 19, 2010 (UTC)
- I didn't understand it either! :-) I think the idea is to be able to put multiple names on the same line and have them evenly spaced out horizontally, but something in the template really messes up how the names get displayed on the page. I'll have a couple more goes at that page and see if I can get it to look right either with or without the {{Space|(5)}} templates. And thanks for the "nowiki" tag tip! -- Mythigator 08:25, June 19, 2010 (UTC)
- Well, like I said, ask on the [http://community.wikia.com/wiki/Forum:Community_Central_Forum Community Central forums and I'm sure someone will help you. The Solar Dragon 08:31, June 19, 2010 (UTC)
- About this template, do you think you could make your bot to remove the space template from all pages (it is only in "credit" pages) and replace it by a <br>? Like you did with the gray word, your bot replaced it by the grey word. The problem with the space template is it makes sentences to look like in preformatted text (like using <pre>), which looks bad. — TheHomer (Talk • Contributions) 18:00, June 19, 2010 (UTC)
- Replacing the space template with <br> would work (I tried it on the "Homer Goes to College" credits). The actual text of the template is {{Space|5}}. It should be a pretty straightforward search-and-replace operation, so siccing the bot on it sounds like a good idea. -- Mythigator 18:57, June 19, 2010 (UTC)
- Ah. That is why it didn't work then. The Solar Dragon 19:07, June 19, 2010 (UTC)
- All done and replaced now. The Solar Dragon 20:37, June 19, 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for doing it! — TheHomer (Talk • Contributions) 20:43, June 19, 2010 (UTC)
- Just realised there is a {{Space|15}} tag on a lot too so am running the bot to replace those. The Solar Dragon 20:47, June 19, 2010 (UTC)
- The page looks great now. It needed some hard carriage returns manually put in to finish straightening things out, but the bot did its job just fine. -- Mythigator 22:29, June 19, 2010 (UTC)

Response
I don't really appreciate you using rollback on my edits, it implies that you think they are vandalism. All I'm doing is getting rid of silly disambiguations. They may be different people, but within the Simpsons, they are one entity. So why should they each have a page when their only work on the show was together. There are a lot of pointless disambiguations here, which only seem to exist to bolster this wikis page count. -- Brian McClure 17:39, June 20, 2010 (UTC)
- We agreed ages ago that we were to split these up as they are two different people. We, as a community, agreed to that. The Solar Dragon 17:40, June 20, 2010 (UTC)
What this is really about is that I had the audacity to challenge your authority. You may be a crat, but you do not own the site. When I first came in, I saw you as a good user, but now I see you differently, and I think you openly abuse your authority and create unnecessary drama. But, I really don't care because you're still helping the site.
So, do I have your permission to at least delete some pointless disambiguations, such as Sherri and Terri's Parents, since they are never called that name during the show? -- Brian McClure 18:14, June 20, 2010 (UTC)
- Well, that one is pointless so that can go. Some are not so pointless. I, however, feel that you should not use your admin powers until the community decides whether or not you should keep the powers. The Solar Dragon 18:16, June 20, 2010 (UTC)
re:you back?
Well, I came to check something from earlier but since you clearly decend into anarchy without me, I shall have to look more often. I told him about the nice tiff going on here and he said "I can't be bothered to check" Kingcjc 20:08, June 20, 2010 (UTC)
Video-game tab
Hi. I know you told me to go ahead and create any template I want, but seeing as this might be quite a big job, I thought I'd better ask you first. I have been thinking for a while of creating some sort of tab system for the video-game side of the site. I saw on a forum somewhere (?) that some past users were thinking of creating one but didn't. It would make sense and keep the site all uniform and smart. What do you think? Effluvium talk contributions email 20:09, June 20, 2010 (UTC)
