The old, abandoned summer camp was a location in an unknown forest. This run-down, shoddy campsite is where Ernest Borgnine and the Junior Campers were attacked and possibly killed by unseen creature in the trees (implied to be cougar as it has been establish as cougar season and "those things don't mess around") stalking them.
Behind the Laughter
The old, abandoned summer camp is a parodying the reoccurring setting of franchise horror movie franchise focused on the spree killings of Jason Voorhees. The music playing over the POV shots at the end is a soundalike to the Friday the 13th theme.
