Location Information
Use: Summer camp (abandoned)
Employees: Jason
First appearance: "Boy-Scoutz 'n the Hood"

The old, abandoned summer camp was located deep in the wilderness.

History[edit]

This run-down, shoddy campsite is where actor Ernest Borgnine and the Junior Campers were attacked and possibly killed by unseen creature leaping down from the trees. It might be Jason or a cougar as it is cougar season and Patty notes, "those things don't mess around."[1]

Homer speaks with the park ranger over the telephone to book a campsite, but nothing is available. Homer finally asks for the campsite where the guy in the hockey mask kills all the campers, but the ranger says that's a movie and immediately she is attacked from behind by Jason.[2]

Behind the Laughter[edit]

The old, abandoned summer camp is a parodying the reoccurring setting of Friday the 13th horror movie franchise focused on the spree killings of Jason Voorhees. The music playing over the POV shots at the end is a soundalike to the Friday the 13th theme.
