The Contactinator is a seti-like broadcasting device used in an attempt to contact and communicate with extraterrestrial life forms. It was created by Professor Frink.
History[edit]
When the kids of Springfield Elementary School were visiting Frink Labs for a field trip, Professor Frink showed them The Contactinator. When Frink was testing the device for the students, he said "glavin" into it, which brought forth The Glavin, who then started to destroy Springfield. Later, Bart uses The Contactinator to contact The Glavin's parents and his father arrived to take him home and punished him for destroying the town.
Later, Frink didn't realize that the device was still on and said "flavin" into it, which summoned The Flavin.
