The Mayor of Springfield is the leader of Springfield, Springfield's State. The position is currently held by Joe Quimby. The Mayor of Springfield is elected. The only person to go up against Mayor Joe Quimby was Sideshow Bob. Mayor Quimby attempted anything to win his job back (this resulted in things like the Matlock Express Way). Bob won in a land side and quickly made some changes including building a free way over the Simpson home and demanded its removal. Another change was moving Bart back to kindergarten Lisa then begins to investigate and learns that many people did vote for Bob but most were dead. Even her late cat voted for Bob. She and Bart then get Bob in court were he eventually confesses to everything.[1]
