Ed Asner is an American actor of film, stage, screen and animation, best known for his role as Lou Grant in The Mary Tyler Moore Show. He has also worked in voice animation recently voicing Carl Fredrickson in the Pixar movie, Up. He provided the voice of the Lifeways editor of the Springfield Shopper in Guess Who's Coming to Criticize Dinner? in The Simpsons.
