"Shoplifting" is the fortieth Simpsons short. It aired on The Tracey Ullman Show on February 26, 1989.

Plot

Bart, Lisa, and Maggie are at the grocery store, when Bart notices candy bars. Bart has no money and is desperate for a candy bar. He tries to steal some and is caught soon after. The security guard "scares" Bart, and goes to talk to the manager of the store. The guard thought he scared Bart, so he goes back into the room and talks to Bart. However, Bart had eaten all the candy while the guard was gona, but doesn't notice the marks on his face until he looks in a mirror. The family comes to pick up Bart, and Homer and Marge are enraged at Bart. They ask him if he learned anything from the experience, and decide to make him walk home after he makes a smart remark.
