Casablanca
Movie Information
Genre: Romantic drama

Casablanca is a 1942 American film noir directed by Michael J. Curtiz and starring Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman and Peter Lorre. It is set in Casablanca during the Second World War and is considered to be a classic.

History

Near the end of Sweet Seymour Skinner's Baadasssss Song Bart and Skinner realize that from now one the will be sworn enemies again. Skinner then reminds Bart: "We'll always have the laundromat." This references the final goodbye speech between Bogart and Bergman's characters where Bogart tells her that "we'll always have Paris".

In Bart's Friend Falls In Love the closing sequence with Milhouse and Samantha parodies the final scene of "Casablanca", complete with similar sounding music.

In Barting Over Homer plays the part of Rick the pianist and "As Time Goes By" starts playing.

In The Italian Bob Sideshow Bob says a variation of the classic line "Of all the gin joints, in all the towns, in all the world, she walks into mine."

In Once Upon a Time in Springfield Princess Penelope says: "We'll always have Sideshow Mel's dressing room."

In Natural Born Kissers Bart and Lisa find a film reel that had an alternate ending to the movie inside it, that the Old Jewish man had buried long ago.
