Captain Corndog's Schnitzel Palace is a fast food restaurant that sells corndogs in Fast-Food Boulevard, Springfield.
History
Among other places, Homer stopped at Krusty Burger, where he was enthralled by a wastebasket in the drive-thru and took the opportunity to get rid of all the accumulated trash in his car. Among the items he disposed of was a leaky car battery. Acid from the battery seeped into the ground and dripped onto an underground gas main, eating a hole in the pipe and causing a gas leak. After Homer finished throwing out his trash, he lit a cigar and tossed the lit match into the wastebasket, igniting the leaking gas and triggering a chain-reaction series of explosions that destroyed every restaurant on Fast-Food Boulevard, including Captain Corndog's Schnitzel Palace.
Homer said that it was the restaurant he was going to miss most of all.
