I still don't get the signature. TheSimpsons 15:07, July 31, 2010 (UTC)

<span style="font-family:FONT"></span> = What type of font. <span style="color:COLOUR"></span> = Colour. In your preferences, you need to add the code to the box that says signature and tick the box to use custom signature. If you tell me what you want, I will do it for you. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 15:24, July 31, 2010 (UTC)

Ok. Thanks. What is the boldest font you have? Ill use that. Well, my The part would look good in Red, Simpsons would look good in blue. Oh, and can my signature have a talk page link? TheSimpsons 15:38, July 31, 2010 (UTC) is soon to be changed.

Double thanks.

TheSimpsons 15:38, July 31, 2010 (UTC)

Ok, I will guess Elephant might be bold enough, or would you like the normal font, just for me to make it bold? ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 15:44, July 31, 2010 (UTC)
What colour do you want the talk link then? ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 15:49, July 31, 2010 (UTC)

Yellow

~~!~~ TheSimpsons 15:52, July 31, 2010 (UTC)

OK, add this code: <span style="font-family:Elephant"><span style="color:red">The</span><span style="color:blue">Simpsons</span> <span style="color:gold">Talk</span></span> to the box in this page. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 15:54, July 31, 2010 (UTC)

It is turning out as a big code. <span style="font-family:Elephant"><span style="color:red">The</span><span style="color:blue">Simpsons</span> <span style="color:gold">Talk</span></span> 16:04, July 31, 2010 (UTC)

Place the code exactly as it is copied from the page, not the edit screen:
<span style="font-family:Elephant"><span style="color:red">The</span><span style="color:blue">Simpsons</span> <span style="color:gold">Talk</span></span
The Solar Dragon☆ 16:11, July 31, 2010 (UTC)

It is an invalid raw signature, check html tags. <span style="font-family:Elephant"><span style="color:red">The</span><span style="color:blue">Simpsons</span> <span style="color:gold">Talk</span></span> 16:14, July 31, 2010 (UTC)

It works fine. I tried it myself. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 16:18, July 31, 2010 (UTC)

My New Signature- <span style="font-family:Elephant"><span style="color:red">The</span><span style="color:blue">Simpsons</span> <span style="color:gold">Talk</span></span 17:44, July 31, 2010 (UTC)

It is just a code with a link. <span style="font-family:Elephant"><span style="color:red">The</span><span style="color:blue">Simpsons</span> <span style="color:gold">Talk</span></span 17:45, July 31, 2010 (UTC)

OK then, email me your password and I will try it for you. That is only if you want and if you trust me. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 17:53, July 31, 2010 (UTC)
Wait, I've seen what's wrong with it. You are missing a > off the end. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 17:55, July 31, 2010 (UTC)

Spoilers

I think we should adopt a new spoiler policy, similar to the one Lostpedia used to have. Before the show ended, their policy was that there should be no spoilers at all, unless they were officially confirmed by an ABC press release. Obviously, they are two completely different shows, but it wouldn't hurt to adopt a similar policy. My main concern is all of the pages that are created for future guest stars, characters and episodes. At this point, they're just magnets for vandalism, so they should be deleted, then recreated once officially confirmed at FoxFlash. -- Brian McClure 13:40, August 1, 2010 (UTC)

Well, at the moment, they are semi-protected although this could be moved up to a full protection. Wikipedia has confirmed these titles too, I know Wikipedia is not a definite source but anyway, if the source is good enough for them, it is good enough for us. Although, there are some episodes we have articles for that aren't on Wikipedia which I will have to look into. Anyway, as long as they are semi-protected, this should deter vandalism. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 13:44, August 1, 2010 (UTC)
Wikipedia has them listed, but they don't have pages for them. They are also different from us because they look at things from an out of universe perspective. In universe, that stuff hasn't happened yet. -- Brian McClure 13:50, August 1, 2010 (UTC)
Yeah I know. There were other pages which must have been deleted by now as they were unconfirmed, which was what I was on about. I will be looking for sources in future and if there is not a source, add the Disputed tag for a week. If no source has been added, I will delete it. How does that sound? Also, with semi-protected articles, there will be a lot less vandalism and wild speculation. If we still get users adding unconfirmed things, I will fully protect the page. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 13:54, August 1, 2010 (UTC)

Sounds great. <span style="font-family:Elephant"><span style="color:red">The</span><span style="color:blue">Simpsons</span> <span style="color:gold">Talk</span></span> 14:38, August 1, 2010 (UTC)

My signature again? <span style="font-family:Elephant"><span style="color:red">The</span><span style="color:blue">Simpsons</span> <span style="color:gold">Talk</span></span> 14:39, August 1, 2010 (UTC)

OK then, email me your password and I will try it for you. That is only if you want and if you trust me. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 14:46, August 1, 2010 (UTC)

Is there any other way to do this? I will email you possibly, I trust you, but is there any other thing to do? <span style="font-family:Elephant"><span style="color:red">The</span><span style="color:blue">Simpsons</span> <span style="color:gold">Talk</span></span> 14:55, August 1, 2010 (UTC)

I don't think so. You can change your password again afterwards if you want anyway. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 15:00, August 1, 2010 (UTC)

I have not confirmed my email. It takes forever to get the code. <span style="font-family:Elephant"><span style="color:red">The</span><span style="color:blue">Simpsons</span> <span style="color:gold">Talk</span></span> 19:35, August 1, 2010 (UTC)

OK then, come on IRC and tell me there then. It is a bit more open but it should only be me and you online. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 19:42, August 1, 2010 (UTC)

How about if i tell you my password here and you delete the comment? —Preceding unsigned comment added by TheSimpsons (talkcontribs) 20:13, August 1, 2010

Ok then. Make it quick. There are a few risks but if it is quick, no one will know. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 20:14, August 1, 2010 (UTC)
They will know as they can check the history. If you are going to post password change it afterwords. Kingcjc 20:31, August 1, 2010 (UTC)
we did it over IRC. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 20:32, August 1, 2010 (UTC)

Would I make a good rollback? I am pretty sure I qualify. TheSimpsons Talk 23:39, August 1, 2010 (UTC)

I haven't seen you revert any vandalism at all. if you do that a few times, I will consider it. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 06:31, August 2, 2010 (UTC)
What's the difference between rollback power and just clicking the "undo" button on the pages history? Bshardy 03:00, August 3, 2010 (UTC)

Vandlisim

Maby you should protect the Matt Groening page from anonymous edits. Someone just replaced the whole thing with "HAHA your article is gone" Bshardy 18:14, August 2, 2010 (UTC)

I reverted 1 time How many more times

TheSimpsons Tip/Fact 1

Bshardy, Rollback lets you revert a number of edits in 1.

P.S. I will do this every time for fun.

Like those facts before a movie in a theatre. TheSimpsons Talk 16:18, August 3, 2010 (UTC)

How many more reverts?

Problem with viewing Images

I don't know if it's just me, but none of the images on the site's articles are showing up. Is anyone else you know experiencing the same problem, or is it just my computer? Ldude893 08:30, August 4, 2010 (UTC)

my laptop had the same problem last night but its gone now ScarletScarabX (Talk) 17:11, August 4, 2010 (UTC)

Hi, sorry about the late reply, I have been on holiday as my user page states. Wikia occasionally has image server malfunctions but these are usually reported and sorted quickly. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 16:32, August 9, 2010 (UTC)
I keep getting lots, mainly characters and other large images, a few badges, and 1 or 2 episode TheSimpsons Talk 04:40, August 10, 2010 (UTC)
It may be the quality of the server. I own a 2006 Apple Mackbook Pro, a rather bad computer (I am planning on getting a new one). TheSimpsons Talk 04:42, August 10, 2010 (UTC)

Templates

Can users also create templates? If so, how do you make them?OhstaWiki 13:51, August 5, 2010 (UTC)OhstaWiki

Have a look at Help:Templates. —Manyman (talk) 20:59, August 5, 2010 (UTC)
Thanks Manyman for giving him the link. Any one is welcome to create a template. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 16:33, August 9, 2010 (UTC)

Questions

 1. Can I be rollback? I reverted twice.
 2. Is anyone going to mage appearances and credits badges?
 3. How come no one is reading The Simpsonington Post?
 4. Where is a good place to edit episodes?
 5. How come MarxSollace's block ended already?
 6. Where can I find a list of users?

TheSimpsons Talk 04:38, August 10, 2010 (UTC)

 1. Place a request here to have a chance of becoming rollback.
 2. Probably not. Too many badges are bad, although they may be a good idea, ask Brian McClure.
 3. Sorry, what?
 4. What do you mean where is a good place to edit episodes? Do you mean you want a list or something?
 5. His block isn't over. I reduced it to six months.
 6. See Special:ListUsers.

The Solar Dragon☆ 06:43, August 10, 2010 (UTC)

 1. The Simpsonington Post is a newspaper on the wiki. I created it.
 2. Which episodes need the most attention?
 3. Kingcjc reduced MarxSollace's block and it is over.

TheSimpsons Talk 09:20, August 10, 2010 (UTC)

Oh, and so can I request Rollback? Answer later, I live in Maryland and it is 5:30 here. TheSimpsons Talk 09:23, August 10, 2010 (UTC)

Yeah, anyone can request rollback, except rollbacks and admins of course. See Category:Episode Stubs for episodes needing help. Can you give a link to the Simpsonington post then? ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 09:25, August 10, 2010 (UTC)

It is just on my userpage. TheSimpsons Talk 10:32, August 10, 2010 (UTC)

So, can I request myself? And how do you do it? TheSimpsons Talk 10:35, August 10, 2010 (UTC)

See the layout of another user's request (under past nominations) and explain why you want it, etc. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 10:37, August 10, 2010 (UTC)

Where do I put all the Support Oppose stuff? TheSimpsons Talk 10:45, August 10, 2010 (UTC)

Put it on the rollback requests page under the Nominations section. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 10:45, August 10, 2010 (UTC)

Did I do it right? TheSimpsons Talk 10:48, August 10, 2010 (UTC)

Yep, you did it right. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 10:50, August 10, 2010 (UTC)

Oh, sorry then, I just visit from time to time here, I categorize a lot on wiki's! From, Stelios7! 12:02, August 10, 2010 (UTC).

The Seven Duffs

I'm planning on doing some in-depth work on this one after I get home from work (I saw it on my lunch break and fixed a couple of typos). Got a question, though: The filename of the image of the Seven Duffs is simply untitled.png, which strikes me as not all that helpful, and potentially asking for trouble if anyone decides to upload a PNG file named "untitled." Is there a way to rename an image file, or would I just have to download it, rename it on my end, and then re-do the upload? Thanks! -- Mythigator 19:22, August 10, 2010 (UTC)

admins can rename files. I will rename it and delete the redirect. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 19:24, August 10, 2010 (UTC)
Cool, and thank you for the assist. I may have to someday re-entertain the idea of putting in for admin status. Actually, would it give anyone a case of knotty knickers if I put in for Rollback? My thinking behind that is considering what time zone I'm located in (Pacifc, U.S. west coast), I'm in a good position to notice and quickly deal with vandalism while it's sack time for most of the wiki staff (giving us pretty close to 24-hour coverage for "vandal patrol"), and rollback powers would make that easier to accomplish. Anyway, unless someone beats me to it, I'll get busy on the Seven Duffs article when I get home. -- Mythigator 19:36, August 10, 2010 (UTC)
well, if you put in a request for rollback, I am sure it will get looked at. Oh, and admins aren't actually Wiki staff by the way. Some people get confused with them. Wikia staff have a blue Wikia logo at the end of their signatures and actually work for Wikia. Admins just help out on wikis. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 19:39, August 10, 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for clarifying the term "wiki staff." My apologies; I misspoke. I meant the Admins and rollbacks helping out with this wiki in particular, not the staff of Wikia (capital W). :-) -- Mythigator 20:37, August 10, 2010 (UTC)
