Homepage

Hi. I remember a few weeks ago there was that discussion about a homepage redesign. I was speaking to Solar Dragon and he said to speak to you about it. So, is anything happening? I've been looking around at some other wikis for ideas and I think the Muppet Wiki is probably the most suitable. Or, we could just mix and match different aspects of different wikis. If your not willing to handle the homepage redesign anymore, no worries, I'm sure Solar and a few others editors will be willing to help. Featured Article template

Hi. The templates I'm having problems with are Template:Eraicon and Template:Eras. I copied the code from Wookieepedia. I thought I had everything working and added it to the Homer Simpson article, however, the template didn't show once I'd saved it. This is quite a fairly complex code and I'm afraid I can only just get my head around the tab system, as it is! Hope you can help! I'll continue the conversation here, seeing as Solar Dragon doesn't want the messages on his talkpage. So what do you feel about that? Just a catagory? Seeing as the article was already featured on the mainpage for a month, isn't that enough. Why do we have to have a huge banner over a few pages telling people its a featured article when most will of all ready seen it on the main page? Well, if (presumably) new people are always joining the Wiki, or coming here to read something for the first time, then maybe they didn't see an article when it was featured for a month on the main page. Also, having a banner or icon in the corner, whatever, to denote a featured article is really more of a way of saying, This is what we can accomplish when we all work together, because a Wiki is a community first. But we need more people to come into this conversation before we can decide on what's best. TheUnderfaker 14:51, August 25, 2010 (UTC)
