Comic Story information

The Many Faces of Bart is a Bart Simpson story first printed in Bart Simpson #74.
Synopsis[edit]
Bart is seen through the eyes of several fellow Springfieldians.
Plot[edit]
Readers are invited to enter people's minds to see what they think of Bart Simpson, Springfield's "number one bad boy".
- Lisa says that living with Bart can be pure torture, as she envisions herself being stretched on a rack while Bart, overseeing, laughs evilly. (It's Milhouse who actually does the stretching.)
- Edna Krabappel wails, "Why me, Lord?" as she sees Bart using the rubber band from his slingshot to pull her into a pit, at the bottom of which is her classroom. Bart says he's flunking so badly that he'll be repeating her class forever. Edna, for her part, is trying to climb out of the pit and reach a beach with handsome well-built shirtless men, only to be pulled back by Bart's slingshot.
- Sideshow Bob sees himself aiming a shotgun at a mouse who resembles Bart and grumbles about Bart's refusing to die.
- Kang and Kodos see Bart on a platter, dressed like a roast turkey. They argue about how Bart should be cooked.
- Milhouse sees Bart as a superhero flying through space on a rocket-powered skateboard and using his slingshot as a laser weapon, and himself as Bart's faithful toady, sitting on the front of the skateboard and smiling at Bart. (Milhouse, however, doesn't know what a toady is.)
- Finally, Bart sees himself as the same superhero as in Milhouse's vision, only sans Milhouse. Quoting Popeye, Bart says, "I yam what I yam!"
