[[Bart Simpson|Bart]] is planning to buy an old comic book for the usual price of 25 cents at the [[Android's Dungeon & Baseball Card Shop]], but he finds that the price has been raised to a dollar so instead of buying the comic he wanted, he buys a box of tattered comics for his quarter. They send the coupon, but they don't get a free comic because the coupon is several years old and rare. They contact [[Larry H. Lawyer]], who helps them sue the publisher, saying that the coupon has no expiration date. Bart asks Lawyer if it also works with other old coupons, and he says it does. Bart and Milhouse start to use all the old coupons they can find to get free products and everyone accepts his coupons after Bart explains the law. Soon the rumor spreads in [[Springfield]], and the stores are drained of free products and everything is reduced to a lower price. Bart begins to run out of coupons and is now searching for them in papers from the Civil War when he goes out on the town and finds that almost all the residents of the city have lower pay because the coupons have taken the corporate profits. Synopsis

Bart partners up with Larry H. Lawyer and sues a comic book company over truth in comic book advertising, and that's just the beginning of a civil suit that's anything but civil.
