Late for School is a Simpsons Comics One-Shot Wonders story that appears in Li'l Homer #1.
Plot

When Homer was young he missed once the school bus, but because it was Taco Tuesday, he realized that he did not want to miss school so he started to cycling but since Homer find it hards to bike as he tied with the help of his slingshot the rear of a car. It's since like a good idea to the beginning but after after a wrong turn is Homer against to Ogdenville. Homer can not loose his slingshot from the car and he not stops before he crashes into a barley field in Odgenville. Homer's bike breaks down so he begins to walk back home and do not care about school, but since Ogdenville is so far from Springfield he comes home first in the morning. When Homer tell to his father what happened him he misses the school bus again.
