Mount Rushmore is a national monument and tourist attraction in South Dakota, famous for having the faces of four U.S. Presidents carved on the side of the mountain.

A man once was trying to bribe senator Bob Arnold to get the rights to drill for oil in Roosevelt's head on Mount Rushmore. Arnold accepted this bribe, however, it was part of an FBI sting operation and the man trying to bribe Arnold was actually an FBI agent.

When planning their next vacation, the Simpsons decide to go to North Dakota since it is the only state that they are allowed to enter. Bart then gets excited because he wants to see Mount Rushmore, but Lisa points out that the monument is in South Dakota.
