Doris Grau (October 12 1924 - December 30 1995) was an American actress, script supervisor and voice actress.

Like Selma Diamond, Grau played gravel-voiced, chain-smoking women on TV shows like The Simpsons and The Critic. She also had a few guest appearances on The Tracey Ullman Show. She also provided additional voices on the movie Babe (1995). As an actress, Grau appeared in The Distinguished Gentleman (1992).

She is perhaps best known to younger people for her portrayal of Springfield Elementary School cafeteria worker Lunchlady Doris, on the animated series The Simpsons, as well as Doris in The Critic. She also had a recurring role as The Hungry Heifer waitress Corrinne on Cheers.

Following Grau's death from lung disease, the characters she voiced were 'retired' out of respect, with the exception of Lunchlady Doris, who returned to The Simpsons after a decade-long absence in 2006 (voiced by Tress MacNeille).
