In 1990, Mattel bought the rights to product a line of The Simpsons figures. 11 figures were produced and released, three only available in Southern America, and one, considered the holy grail of all Simpsons collectors, Save Blinky Bart, only available through mail-in, with only a few figures known to surface. A second series was planned, but plans were scrapped when the line did not sell as well as the company hoped.

The second series of the figures was put into prototype stage, but then cancelled due to slow sales of the first.[1] Strangely, one of the vehicles in the second series was featured in a Mattel catalogue from that era.[2]
Arco figures
A British company, Arco, which Mattel is its parent company, made 'Rev n Go' racers, which were vehicles that users pulled back and drove, designs available were Homer, Bart, and Maggie. (It is unknown whether there was a one produced for Marge or Lisa, this is likely). Also, the company made wind up figures of Maggie, Bart (2 variants available), Homer and Lisa.
