World War III is the ninth short in season 2 of the shorts series.

Synopsis

Homer wakes Bart, Marge, Lisa, and Maggie in the middle of the night to practice for a nuclear war drill. The Simpsons make it to the basement but are late and go down in 18 seconds. Homer then replies that if that was a real nuclear war The Simpsons would be dead meat. Homer then wakes up the family again and they are still unsucessful in timing. Bart then wakes Homer up for a nuclear war drill and him, Marge, Lisa, and Maggie trap Homer in the basement and decide to take him out after lunch.'

Trivia

Lisa did not make any speaking appearances in this episode.

This short was featured in The Simpsons 138'th Episode Spectacular. The third part was cut although.
