After learning that Homer is seriously underqualified for his own job, Mr. Burns enrolls him at Springfield University. While there, Homer befriends three nerds and accidentally gets them expelled.
Plot
When Homer causes a meltdown in the nuclear inspection truck despite it not having any nuclear material, the inspectors tell Mr. Burns that Homer needs to go back to college to learn "Nuclear Physics". When Homer's rejected from every college, Mr. Burns makes a deal with one of the colleges to get him in. While there Homer seems to think that it will be like a cliche College movie, hassling nerds and thinks the dean, Bobby Peterson, is a strict old timer when in fact hes a young non stereotypical go getter. Homer gets tutors, three nerds who hang on the computer all day. Homer helps them to live life, by playing a prank, with the help of Bart. They steal another college's mascot, Sir Oinks-a-Lot. The pig gets sick and when the dean finds out, he has no choice but to expel the nerds. Homer lets them stay with him since they have no where else to go. They cause annoyance in the house and the family wants them out. Homer comes up with a scheme to get them back in by making them save the dean's life. When it comes time for them to save him from Homer hitting him with a car, they calculate seconds and the dean is run over. Homer apologizes and they're let back into school, but it's time for Homer's final exam for Nuclear Physics, so the nerds help him cram like he's never crammed before. He finishes the test with a smile, only to learn he failed it. The nerds change his grade to an "A" with the computer. Marge protests that he cheated, and makes him take the test again.
