Dancing Workers Song is a song that was meant to be in the episode Kiss Kiss Bang Bangalore, but it was cut because, according to composer Alf Clausen, "it wasn't exactly what the producers were looking for and we ran out of time to be able to do a re-write."[1] Only a demo recording of the song exists with studio singers Sally Stevens, Susie Stevens-Logan, Edie Lehman-Boddicker, Rick Logan, and Randy Crenshaw, a choir, and a small band consisting of a woodwind player, a guitarist, a keyboardist, a bassist, and a bongo player. The music was written by Clausen and the lyrics by voice actor Dan Castellaneta and his wife Deb Lacusta. It is the third bonus track on the album The Simpsons: Testify.
Lyrics
- Sally Stevens (as Marge):
- The Simpsons have gone to another land.
- I've got something sticky on my hands.
- Edie Lehman-Boddicker (as Bart):
- A white guy runs the Kwik-E-Mart.
- Sally Stevens (as Patty Bouvier):
- Selma and I got to meet our hero,
- Rick Logan (as Richard Dean Anderson)
- Then she dumped me when I went all queer-o.
- Randy Crenshaw (as Homer):
- I'm not a god, I'm just a man.
- Indian Workers:
- But you got us a dental plan.
- Yes, he got us a dental plan,
- Yes, he got us a dental plan!
