Slow Leonard is a tortoise at Springfield Zoo.
When the Simpson family went to the zoo, Homer was happy to hear that Slow Leonard was still alive. However, Slow Leonard was missing from his enclosure. When Homer confronted the Springfield Zoo director about his disappearance, she dismissed Homer and said that he'll be around somewhere. Homer then started to look into Slow Leonard's disappearance and thought that he had been kidnapped. Homer went to Chief Wiggum with his concerns, but was dismissed.
