The Pookadook is a book about the monster of the same name.

History[edit]

When Marge went to read Maggie a bedtime story, The Pookadook kept showing up. Marge then decided to read Maggie the book, but it turned out to be very scary to both Marge and Maggie. Marge stopped reading the book and put Maggie to bed. That night, Marge heard Maggie screaming on the baby monitor. She ran into Maggie's room and found that the book had somehow made it into Maggie's crib. She ripped the book up and threw it away. The next day, the doorbell rung. Marge opened the door to find that the book had been put together again and was on the doorstep. Marge threw the book on the barbecue and burned it. One of the pages came out of the book as she did so. The page said that Marge would burn the book, which is what the Pookadook wanted. The Pookadook then possessed Marge after it emerged from the burning book.

Behind the Laughter[edit]

The Pookadook is a parody of the book Mister Babadook from The Babadook.
