Food/Drink Information
|
Shamrock Shakes are a popular seasonal milkshake sold during the months of February and March.
History
Chief Wiggum and Lou debate whether Shamrock Shakes are actually mint-flavored, or simply vanilla with green food coloring. Lou insists the chief only thinks he tastes the mint because the shake is green, "and your mind is playing tricks on you." Wiggum resents the suggestion.[1]
During Springfield's first booze-free St. Patrick's Day celebrations, Mayor Quimby claims the Irish "gave the world the paddywagon, the Shamrock Shake, and folk-dancing where you don't move your arms."[2]
When Wiggum was shot, Doctor Hibbert says his scans revealed his left lung was filled with Shamrock Shake, even though "McDonald's didn't even sell them this year."[3]
