Springfield Mall has hundreds of stores, restaurants, bars, clinics and other services in it. It's CEO is Mr. Costington. Two of its more well-known stores are the Leftorium and Lionel Hutz's law office. In "Please Homer, Don't Hammer 'Em...", the mall is shown in a dilapidated state due to the Mayor's dad being murdered there. Many major stores, like JCPenney, are run down and out of business. However in "G.I. (Annoyed Grunt)", a mere two episodes later, the mall is thriving again. In The Simpsons Road Rage, the player can drive around inside the Springfield Mall. In The Simpsons Hit & Run, it is not seen in any of the levels. In The Simpsons Game, Kang and Kodos are invading the Springfield Mall.
