E.T. is a video game with E.T. that was seen in the Springfield Dump.
Behind the Laughter
E.T. is a real video game. The game being in the dump is a reference to the game being one of the main causes of the video game crash of 1983 and the Atari video game burial. Many of the games buried were copies of E.T.
