Movie Information
Genre: Reality/Short

Bright Lights, Beef Jerky is a short film made by Apu and submitted to the Springfield Film Festival.

Plot

The film is clearly lifted directly from the Kwik-E-Mart's security camera footage. Snake points a sawed-off shotgun at Apu, who shouts "Help, help! Police!" Chief Wiggum is revealed to be in the store, but unable to respond as his tie is caught in the hot dog roller machine: "Hey, I got problems of my own right now!"

As the roller pulls Wiggum into the machine, he says, "Oh boy, this is gonna get worse before it gets better," and the film ends.

Behind the laughter

The film's title is a pun on the 1988 drama film Bright Lights, Big City.
