Ring Around the Simpsons is a Bart Simpson's Treehouse of Horror comic story that was featured in Bart Simpson's Treehouse of Horror #9.
Synopsis
The Simpsons are warped into the world of Lord of the Rings.
Plot
As the Fellowship of the Ring are facing off against an army of monsters, Saruman decides to summon the most evil creatures he can think of to stop them - the Simpson family. The Simpsons join the Fellowship of the Ring and they travel across Middle Earth to destroy the ring. Along the journey, Homer and Bart accidentally cause the deaths of Gimli and Legolas by knocking Gandalf the Grey over.
Further along the way, during another battle, Homer manages to knock Samwise Gamgee and Meriadoc Brandybuck off a cliff into a group of hungry wolves, killing them. The remaining members carry on along the trail until they encounter the Balrog. After Homer kills the Balrog, he accidentally pushes Gandalf off the edge of the pit, losing his last beer in the process. Frodo Baggins asks Homer what happened to Aragorn after, to which Homer reveals he double dog dared him to kiss a dragon, which then ate him.
As the group get to Mordor, Sauron appears. He demands the ring be handed over to him before Marge uses some eye drops in his bloodshot eye and makes him better. Sauron thanks Marge, says that he no longer wants the ring and leaves. Frodo realizes that the ring has gone again and this time, Maggie has managed to get hold of it.
