Don't Forget to Leave a Tipster is a Bart Simpson story that appears in Bart Simpson #98.
Synopsis
- "Bart and Milhouse search Springfield to reap the financial rewards being offered by Channel 6 for news tips, but when it turns out to be a slow news day, they decide to fabricate a few phony stories of their own."
Plot
Milhouse and Bart playing their own version of Monopoly but it's disappointing and they can not afford anything funnier game. They watching TV where Kent Brockman offers $200 to the viewers who giving them a film that is newsworthy. They broadcasting a video that a viewer sent in with a fight between Gil and Willie who was awarded $200. Bart and Milhouse decide to borrow Kirk's video camera and they going out to film something newsworthy. They discover that Clancy Wiggum letting Ralph drive the police car but Milhouse has forget pressing the recording button. The old folks in the retirement home has doing a riot but it has become dark and Milhouse forgot to activate the low light button so their film just recording dark. They activate the low light and filming Homer] who eat lots of junk car, but they realize that they will not give them any money. Milhouse give up because they have failed three times but Bart seeing a graffiti by El Barto on a poster of Mayor Quimby and realize they can fake a film. Bart dressing him up as El Barto and Milhouse filming his shadow and they filming several of his crimes. They send in the film and gets $200.
They decide to make a new film, this time is Bart filming when he bungee jumping from Springfield Bridge and he having the camera on his taped to his helmet when he makes the jump. Bart jumps but the tape that the camera is fixed at detachment from his helmet and flying up in the air and a bird capture it and flying away with it. Martin thanks Bart and Milhouse, he has filmed the whole incident and he intends to sending it to Brockman and get $200. Milhouse remember Bart that he must pay Kirk $400 for the camera. Bart's reaction to all this is D'oh.
