The family enter, jump on the couch and it breaks apart. The family end up on the floor.

Bart and Lisa broom-vault over the couch during a "living room Olympics". Bart lands ontop the couch quite suddenly and breaks it. Homer enters and becomes upset, having spent most of his life's greatest moments on it.

The Simpsons enter the living room and find that their couch has broken. They serve a funeral for it in the back garden, and then they go to a couch ranch to choose a couch. They choose a 'cow' couch and when they get on it, it flings Homer off. The family are then seen in their family room sitting on the couch, with Homer in a full body cast.

The Simpsons couch breaks (full details not known as episode is yet to air) and they get a new couch from Vinnie's Brooklyn Furniture. However, it has bedbugs in and that causes and outbreak of bedbugs in Springfield.
