Groening's name is mentioned in Bart Star, when Homer 'cuts' much of the cast and crew over the credits. This is likely non-canon for being an out-of-universe reference and not to the in-universe Groening, so should Bart Star be put in the appearances section (as well as the other cast and crew mentioned), or not?
