The Saint Patrick's Day parade

Saint Patrick's Day is an event, originating from Ireland, where people remember St. Patrick. It usually involves a lot of alcohol.

History

During the Saint Patrick's Day parade one year, Bart accidentally becomes drunk, eventually leading to the outlaw of alcohol in Springfield.[1]

Springfield also tried to hold an alcohol-free Saint Patrick's Day but without the alcohol, the Protestants and Catholics remembered how much they hated each other and there was a big street brawl.[2]

Behind the Laughter

"In the Name of the Grandfather" aired in the UK and Ireland on Saint Patrick's Day, before it aired in America.
