Jingle Bells is a popular Christmas song written by James Pierpont. Bart sung alternative lyrics when the rest of his fourth grade class were singing it and Robert Goulet sang a version of it too.

Lyrics

Springfield Elementary's version

Dashing through the snow
In a one horse open sleigh
O'er the fields we go
Laughing all the way
Bells on bob tails ring
Making spirits bright
What fun it is to laugh and sing
A sleighing song tonight
Oh, jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Oh, what fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh

Bart's version

Ohhh... jingle bells
Batman smells
Robin laid an egg.
The Batmobile broke it's wheel,
The Joker got aw-

= Robert Goulet's version

Jingle bells, Batman smells,
Robin laid an egg.
Batmobile lost its wheel
And Joker got away. Hey!
Thank you! Thank you very much. (a punch is heard) Oh, I'm sorry, kid.

Behind the Laughter

Robert Goulet's version appears as the seventh track on the album Songs in the Key of Springfield.
